The Spot Services is a NRI enterprise whose main aim is to provide high quality roadside amenities for all travellers in Himachal Pradesh. All our sites have hard standing for vehicles with affordably priced food for local and international customers.

The amenities we provide are clean and hygienic female and male washrooms, baby changing facilities and washrooms for physically challenged travellers with wheelchair access to all sites.

Site Manager

Experience

This position will suit someone with a couple of years experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager in a busy restaurant.

The Site Manager will need to understand modern roadside services and restaurant business, have worked with a high volume of covers and preferably have experience of using IT systems. They will be charming, charismatic and have a commanding presence.

Responsibilities

  • Managing team of 10 to 15 staff
  • Training and delivering superb service
  • Leading & inspiring the team
  • Managing local budgets, Health & Safety and Site Security

Chefs

Experience

The successful Commis Chef will fully understand how the role contributes to the success of The Spot Service. Build effective and constructive relationships, communicate clearly, professionally and concisely. Maintain a good level of understanding of the restaurant and hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

  • Be able to undertake a varied list of food preparation for the kitchen on a daily basis
  • Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are the highest quality at all times
  • Ensure and control levels of guest satisfaction, quality and operations within set food costs on an ongoing basis
  • Carry out any other duties as required by management
  • Be flexible, as the kitchen team is small there may be some Kitchen Porter duties too

Commi II

Experience

We are looking for a chef who would oversee the kitchen in our restaurants and the other sections where the food is served. They will watch over all the activities involved in food preparation with any other staff who will be assisting them in the kitchen. They will supervise the preparation of food for its garnishing and presentation, as well as, the seasonings for the perfect taste.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Commis I and be responsible for day to day kitchen operations
  • Deliver the best gourmet experience to every guests
  • Ensure that company and statutory hygiene standards are maintained
  • Ensure that the preparation and presentation of food complies with the standards
  • Responsible for the production, preparation and presentation of all food items, in the assigned function, to ensure highest quality always
  • Ensure to maintain appropriate grooming standards, hygiene and code of conduct
  • Coordinate operations with Department Coordinators, Supervisors and other Departmental Managers to ensure operational readiness, efficiency in resource utilization, and the prompt delivery of services
  • To ensure that the assigned Kitchen areas, equipment and utensils are always kept as per the standards
  • Handle additional responsibilities as and when delegated by the Management
  • Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef
  • Control food stock and food cost in his section
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control

Helper

Experience

We are looking for a Helper with the experience of Performing any combination of tasks involved in cleaning galleys, bakery, and shops, cleans pots and pans, dishes, chopping blocks, and service stations, by hand or using dishwashing machine. Their main duty is to maintain kitchen work area, equipment and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Polishes silver chafing dishes and coffee pots
  • Places washed glasses in rack to prevent breakage
  • Defrosts and cleans reefers and iceboxes
  • leans and culls vegetables and fruits
  • Dumps garbage and cleans can
  • Carries supplies from reefers and storerooms to galleys, pantries, bakery, and butcher shop
  • Stocks serving stations with dishes and stores
  • May be designated according to type of work performed as Baker Scullion; Butcher Scullion; Glass Scullion; Silverware Washer; Vegetable Scullion; or according to area to which assigned as Main-Galley Scullion
  • May give directions to workers and be designated Scullion Chief
  • Do additional cleaning as assigned
  • Complete closing report at the end of each shift
  • Attend all service kitchen staff meetings to address problems, concerns or plans

Waiter

Experience

We are looking for a Waiter who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and writing them down on order slips and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired

House Keeping

Experience

We are looking to hire a Housekeeper to join our cleaning team. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing table cloth, and notifying maintenance of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings
  • Clean and stock restrooms
  • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment
  • Notify managers of necessary repairs
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Assist guests when necessary
  • Keep linen room stocked
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture
  • Wash windows as scheduled
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently
  • Work well unsupervised
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Handle basic maintenance and cleaning
